Noritake is a renowned Japanese company celebrated for its high-quality porcelain and tableware, with a rich history that bridges Eastern craftsmanship and Western aesthetics. The origins of Noritake trace back to 1876 when the Morimura brothers, Ichizaemon and Toyo, established the Morimura Brothers trading company in New York City, initially importing traditional Japanese goods including chinaware catering to Western tastes. After a decade of development, they successfully produced their first porcelain dinnerware plate suitable for export in 1914.
The Noritake Up-Sa Daisy pattern, designated as Pattern No. 9001, was part of Noritake's Progression China line. This line was known for its durability. The Up-Sa Daisy pattern was produced from 1966 to 1979. The pattern was produced in Japan, reflecting Noritake's commitment to quality craftsmanship during that era.
