An authentic vintage Kenwood Model KT-7001 solid state AM/FM stereo tuner, produced in Japan circa 1971–1973. Built with heavy brushed aluminum silver faceplate, walnut-grain wood cabinet case, weighted flywheel dial, and dual analog back-lit meters for signal strength/multipath and center tuning. Classic early 1970s discrete Japanese audio engineering, ideal for anchoring a vintage stereo stack alongside a matching integrated amplifier.
Condition
Faceplate, glass dial, and meters are clean and intact with light edge wear on the wood case. Unit powers on, dial lamps illuminate, and both AM and FM receive stations clearly. The rotary selector/multifunction switch is intermittent and requires contact cleaning, DeoxIT service, or mechanical adjustment. Sold as tested with the described switch defect.
